As neither a Dem nor a Rep I think she doesn't give off that vibe of strength and power and confidence that several past SOS's have given off. But maybe she is in the office for a different reason than most people think she should be in there for. She seems to be more of a clean up lady and tries somewhat hard to be diplomatic in these times when several people don't like President Bush nor his policy. I think she is trying to hold her head up throughout this whole ordeal with terror, terrorism, Afghanistan among other countries of the middle east, Homeland Security, Saddam, Osama, sending troops, etc. I think that she may not be 100% behind Bush but as her job is to back him up probably against what she personally believes she does what she's supposed to and not voice her personal feelings. Yes, she hasn't done much but been Bush's lapdog, but Bush is the President and she is not. I will say that the numerous times that I've heard her speak on television I was impressed by her articulation and ability to explain things and the reasons behind why Pres. Bush is doing what he is.

She may want to strive a little bit harder at the "Transformational Diplomacy" I so often hear associated with her. But it is very hard to restructure and reform American Foreign Policy in this time of uncertainty within the U.S. and also internationally from our allies and former allies.

I will say that I bet being SOS is a very hard job regardless of what anyone says, and hopefully Condoleezza Rice is trying her best whatever that may be.

Only my opinion. And yeah her hair is a little old fashioned but I guess that's keeping with trying to be seen as strong professional, conservative, a power player and businesswoman not just A WOMAN, which is what many would tend to see if she wore a more fashionable hair style or wore lower cut skirt suits, etc.

She isn't good... I don't know if she is the worst, though, but she appears out of her element. I don't think she could even run the NFL, something that she claims is her "dream job."

She also appears giddy when she accepts credit for doing her job succesfully; that's a bad sign. I have a border collie who gets just as excited as Condi gets, its cute when he does it (afterall, he is a dog!) but I don't expect that from a Secretary of State... Christ, that freaks me out and I get embarrassed for her.
