You should try long layers and sideswept bangs.

Also you have darker hair- so going to a lighter shade is harder to do. Try high and lowlights. From Medium blondes to auburn colors. =]

I had my hair cut like that it will look good on you usually my hair stylist will use a razor instead of scissors because it makes it wispy or whatever and less of a blunt cut like scissors do and I took a picture with me. He just razor cut in face framing layers in to front that were long and a few in the back then he used a large curler and the tip he gave me is to just curl the hair past the ears not on the top to get the look.
